Assistant Housekeeping Manager (Hotel)

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Head of Housekeeping in ensuring that the hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest satisfaction. Working on‑site at Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba, you will help coordinate daily operations, manage staff and oversee administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Organise personnel administration and departmental planning.
• Monitor and coordinate all administrative affairs within the housekeeping department.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards across all hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, gardens and indoor plants.
• Control the availability and proper use of supplies, materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular property rounds, inspections of guest rooms and aesthetic standards for flower arrangements.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and support salary calculations for housekeeping staff.
• Prepare monthly reports and manage correspondence with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in implementing major changes and organisational objectives across the hotel.

Required profile

• Experience in hotel housekeeping operations or a related hospitality function.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professional relations with staff and management.
• Attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness, grooming standards and inventory control.
• Ability to work on‑site, conduct inspections and respond promptly to guest requests.
