Assistant Wash Manager

About the role

The Assistant Wash Manager supports the laundry department of a leading hotel, ensuring that uniforms, linens and laundry supplies are managed efficiently and safely. This full‑time position combines hands‑on equipment operation with staff supervision and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete inventory of uniforms, linens and laundry supplies, conducting monthly counts.
• Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs and safety hazards to the manager.
• Train employees on laundry procedures, safety protocols and equipment operation.
• Verify that laundry requests from all hotel departments are fulfilled on time.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machinery, inspecting items for damage.
• Assist management with hiring, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating staff.
• Follow company policies, safety regulations and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting, moving and inspecting items across various work areas.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related laundry or housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.

• Laundry equipment operation (washing, dry‑cleaning, drying machines).
• Inventory management for uniforms, linens and supplies.
• Implementation of safety procedures and hazard reporting.
