Associate Corporate Banker – Large Corporates & Public Sector

About the role

Citi is seeking an Associate Corporate Banker to join its Corporate Banking team in Amman. The role provides direct exposure to senior decision‑makers at leading Jordanian large corporates, public‑sector entities and financial institutions, and involves developing client relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deepen relationships across a portfolio of large corporate, public‑sector and financial‑institution clients.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, strategic priorities, financial performance and credit profile.
• Identify and develop business opportunities across services, markets, lending and banking.
• Drive client engagement, relationship planning, pitching and transaction execution.
• Coordinate Citi’s local, regional and global capabilities to deliver tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with product, risk, credit and regional teams to execute transactions and manage relationships.
• Maintain focus on revenue, returns, risk and overall portfolio performance while upholding Citi’s risk‑management standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in corporate or institutional banking, transaction banking, markets, investment banking or a related field.
• Strong financial acumen with solid understanding of financial statements, credit fundamentals and corporate finance.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
• Proven ability to build credibility and engage confidently with senior clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Awareness of macro‑economic, industry and regulatory developments.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related discipline.
