ATC Specialist – Liaison (CIC)

About the role

The ATC Specialist – Liaison (CIC) ensures the safe, efficient flow of air traffic within a designated control airspace. Working in a high‑tempo environment, the specialist applies ICAO and FAA regulations, maintains situational awareness, and coordinates critical safety information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily safe and expeditious flow of air traffic in the assigned facility control airspace.
• Apply FAA separation rules and maintain situational awareness of overall traffic operations.
• Coordinate with controllers and personnel to relay safety‑critical and emergency information.
• Oversee vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.
• Process flight plans and supervise approach, departure, and arrival procedures.
• Maintain full working knowledge of control tower operations, flight planning, and radar/manual approach control.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• Eight (8) years of ATC experience, including at least one (1) year in a similar facility.
• Hold a FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate, FAA/AOV credential with tower rating, or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II Medical Certificate, US CENTCOM medical exam, and a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
