Backend Tech Lead – Python (Financial Services)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Tech Lead with strong Python expertise to drive the design and delivery of new features and products for a leading financial services company. You will guide a development team, ensure high‑quality code, and collaborate closely with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop features and new products.
• Design and implement solutions that meet defined business requirements.
• Write technical specifications, define technology choices, and enforce coding standards.
• Present implementations to senior leadership, including the CTO.
• Develop unit and integration tests and ensure software quality, security, and extensibility.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and drive refactoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 4 + years of professional software development experience with Python.
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical lead or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, and quality‑assurance principles.
• Experience with SDLC processes, service‑oriented architecture, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
