Chef De Partie

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which operates more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, is looking for a Chef De Partie. The role centres on consistent, professional and proactive guest service in the kitchen, supporting colleagues and maintaining high food quality and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Prepare all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus consistently, according to hotel recipes and standards
• Share ideas, opinions and suggestions during daily shift briefings
• Maintain colleagues' awareness of standards and expectations
• Liaise daily with outlet chefs about guest feedback
• Improve food preparation and presentation continuously
• Rotate products in chillers to minimise wastage and spoilage
• Know all menu items, daily features and promotions
• Keep work areas, utensils and equipment clean and maintained
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards, and all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Previous experience in the culinary field is required
• Journeyman's papers or an international equivalent is required
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous

Required skills

• Diploma certification in a culinary discipline is an asset
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset
