Civil 3D Modeler - Infrastructure

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is looking for a Civil 3D & CAD Technician to provide technical support in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, stormwater systems and land development. The role involves creating detailed 3D models, layouts and construction drawings with Autodesk Civil 3D, working closely with engineers and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 3D models and design drawings for civil infrastructure projects such as roads, water systems, stormwater drainage and land development using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Develop construction plans, sections and details for civil works, including grading, earthworks and utility layouts.
• Assist engineers in preliminary and detailed design layouts for infrastructure projects.
• Perform clash detection to identify conflicts between infrastructure elements early in the design process.
• Ensure drawings comply with local and national standards, codes and project requirements, and review them for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Prepare detailed drawings for infrastructure project submissions, including roads, wet utilities and dry utilities, from concept to IFC.
• Draft plans, profiles and cross sections, and update drawings after design reviews and engineer comments.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Design and Drafting or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with Autodesk CAD and Civil 3D on civil infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities or land development.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks and other relevant design software.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers and project teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including surface modeling, grading, alignments, profiles, corridors and pipe networks.
• Proficiency in Autodesk CAD for production and drafting.
• Revit is a plus.
