Claims Officer (Hybrid)

About the role

The Claims Officer will join MedNet Jordan’s Claims Department, working in a hybrid setting to process and evaluate medical claims efficiently. You will ensure accurate data entry, adherence to policies, and timely authorizations for both inpatient and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Process provider network and international medical claims following FIFO principles.
• Handle Early Payment Discount (EPD) batches according to team priorities.
• Enter claim data accurately to maintain reliable records for the company and participating insurance companies.
• Achieve monthly processing targets while maintaining high speed and quality.
• Authorize in‑patient and out‑patient cases based on medical necessity and appropriateness.
• Conduct chronic SOAP evaluations, issue, sign and stamp relevant documents.
• Perform quality audits and sample reviews of processed claims against coverage scope and provider contracts.
• Prepare and verify batch lists and bordereaux as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy or a related medical field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in the medical or health‑care sector.
• Experience in insurance or third‑party administration is a plus.
• Strong command of English and good interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
