Regional Rehabilitation Specialist - Mashriq

About the role

The Regional Rehabilitation Specialist will support the development and implementation of HI's operational and sectorial strategies across the Mashriq region, ensuring high‑quality rehabilitation services in emergency and development contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to regional and country‑specific rehabilitation strategies and ensure technical support aligns with global frameworks.
• Design, adapt and disseminate technical tools, training materials and guidelines for rehabilitation projects.
• Monitor and control the technical quality of rehabilitation activities and ensure compliance with nexus priorities.
• Support business development by identifying new project opportunities and integrating latest international practices.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and response actions within the region.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international development, emergency or post‑crisis settings, with proven collaboration with national rehabilitation actors.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to establish clear frameworks and limits.
• Experience in capacity‑building techniques for adult learners using varied pedagogical models.

What we offer

• 12‑month international contract starting September 2026 with a gross salary of €2,813 per month.
• Additional net per‑diem of €640 per month paid in the field.
