Commis A – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are seeking a Commis A to join our Food & Beverage team at a prestigious hotel in Amman. The role involves preparing special meals, handling cold foods, and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure high‑quality service for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, maintain food logs and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Communicate with chefs about excess items for daily specials and inform service staff of menu changes.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members as directed by management.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report incidents and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
