Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will oversee all construction activities, ensuring work is performed to the highest quality standards and in strict compliance with project documents. You will collaborate with government and contractor engineers, designers, and surveyors to deliver safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective projects in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and verify construction schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure construction aligns with approved documents.
• Conduct daily site inspections, document findings, and maintain accurate records.
• Review shop drawings, product submittals, and provide timely recommendations.
• Prepare and submit master schedules, progress reports, and attend project meetings.
• Assist contractors with access and escort issues and safeguard government and contractor property.
• Monitor HVAC installation, start‑up, testing, and verify concrete placement and test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction technology, or construction management.
• Minimum five (5) years of field construction experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred; ability to obtain a Jordan residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme conditions (dust, high temperatures) and endure long hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Experience using 2D and 3D rendering software.
• Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), NFPA fire codes, and National Electric Code (NEC).
• Understanding of HVAC testing and balancing procedures.
• Familiarity with concrete placement and testing protocols.
