Cost Controller

About the role

PipeCare Group is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join its Amman office. The role focuses on monitoring, controlling and reporting project costs for operations in Saudi Arabia and regional projects within the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project budgets, commitments, actual costs, accruals, forecasts and cost-to-complete.
• Prepare, review and update cost estimates, budgets and cost breakdowns for labour, materials, equipment, logistics and subcontractors.
• Verify supplier, vendor and subcontractor invoices and claims against purchase orders, contracts and approved budgets.
• Support project planning by tracking milestones, resource utilisation, billing milestones and schedule-related cost impacts.
• Track, analyse and report variations, change orders and additional work, assessing cost or revenue impacts.
• Produce monthly cost reports, budget-versus-actual analysis, forecasts, cash-flow inputs and management dashboards.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, finance and operations to monitor purchase orders, deliveries and project close-out status.
• Assist in technical and commercial review of tenders, subcontractor quotations and service agreements.
• Identify cost risks, budget overruns and margin impacts and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in project meetings and liaise with internal teams and external clients to resolve cost-related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project cost control, project accounting, planning or commercial finance, preferably in oil & gas, industrial services or construction.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
