Country Director – Jordan

About the role

The Country Director will lead Cenomi Retail’s operations in Jordan, overseeing a portfolio of seventeen international fashion and lifestyle brands. Reporting to the Regional Director/CEO, you will own the full P&L, drive commercial growth, ensure operational excellence and shape the strategic expansion of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L accountability – annual planning, budgeting and delivery of revenue, margin and profitability targets across all brands.
• Retail operations – guarantee consistent brand standards, visual merchandising and service levels; monitor KPIs such as like‑for‑like sales, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, productivity, shrinkage and inventory accuracy.
• Market development – lead new store openings, relocations and renewals, negotiate with landlords and decide on optimal locations.
• People leadership – recruit, coach and retain the country team, build succession depth at store and area‑management levels and foster a high‑engagement culture.
• Stakeholder management – represent Cenomi Retail with brand principals, government authorities and partners while collaborating with regional Finance, HR, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Property functions.
• Governance – ensure compliance with Jordanian labour and commercial regulations, maintain financial controls and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a country, cluster or multi‑site operation in fashion or lifestyle retail.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting P&L targets.
• Excellent people management and development skills.
• Ability to negotiate with landlords and manage market expansion projects.
• Familiarity with Jordanian labour and commercial regulations.
