Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Waldom Electronics is looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to protect its systems, networks, and data. You will work closely with IT and technology teams to implement, maintain, and monitor security infrastructure while helping the organization stay resilient against evolving threats.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and antivirus solutions.
• Monitor security tools for alerts and anomalies, responding to incidents promptly.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, scans, and support penetration‑testing activities.
• Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Investigate security events, assist with incident response, remediation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Provide guidance to employees on security best practices and support awareness training.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, and controls.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to embed security into systems, applications, and processes.
• Support cloud security initiatives in AWS and Azure environments.
• Help improve security monitoring, reporting, and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT support with a security focus.
• Hands‑on experience with security technologies such as SIEM platforms, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, and vulnerability assessment tools.
