DEERS Operations Specialist – US Navy (Jordan)

About the role

The DEERS Operations Specialist provides essential support for the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and RAPIDS sites at JTC Zarqa, ensuring accurate identity management and customer service for military personnel and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the DEERS/RAPIDS site in compliance with DMDC policies, DoD regulations, and installation procedures.
• Manage customer flow, appointments, walk‑ins, and ID card issuance while meeting service and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate DEERS profile updates, verify eligibility documentation, and process dependent record changes.
• Perform Site Security Manager duties, including audit‑trail reviews, workstation security, and roster maintenance.
• Generate monthly Transaction and Periodic Summary reports and maintain required documentation.
• Ensure all equipment and workstations remain secure and operational, reporting issues promptly.
• Integrate lessons learned from audits, inspections, and feedback to improve site operations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Minimum one (1) year of professional customer‑service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and passport from home country, both with at least 12 months validity.
• Fluent in spoken, written, and read English.
• Eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and authorized entry onto U.S. military installations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DEERS and RAPIDS systems.
• Familiarity with Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) procedures.
• Basic computer operation and ability to use a variety of software applications.
