DEERS Technician

About the role

The DEERS Technician will support personnel services and identity management operations for the Area Support Group in Jordan. This position ensures accurate processing of military personnel records, maintains site security, and complies with all operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide DEERS services, including enrollment and record updates.
• Operate within RAPIDS/DEERS systems and manage daily site operations.
• Serve as Site Security Manager, overseeing material accountability and system access.
• Complete required training and certifications such as JKO.
• Deliver customer service to military personnel and families.
• Prepare and submit monthly workload reports.
• Maintain compliance with security and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a professional office environment.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• Ability to become certified as a DEERS/RAPIDS operator before unsupervised duties.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Experience with DEERS, RAPIDS, or personnel administration systems is preferred.
