Education Program MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The Education MEAL Coordinator will design, coordinate and roll out Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems for the Education Programme in Damascus. Reporting to the Education Chief of Party, the role ensures that consortium and implementing partners apply harmonised tools, indicators and reporting processes in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contextualise MEAL guidance and tools for the education consortium.
• Lead the design, review and implementation of monitoring packages, including Indicator Performance Tracking Table, log‑frame, PRIME, activity tracking and MEAL plans.
• Maintain and update the Indicator Performance Tracker and output trackers, ensuring data quality and timely reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to partner staff on data collection, storage, indicator definition and reporting.
• Collaborate with the SCI MEAL team and partners to ensure consistent understanding and application of standard indicators.
• Support the preparation of regular progress reports and visualise data using tools such as Power BI.

Required profile

• Experience in designing and managing MEAL systems within education or humanitarian programmes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to consolidate, analyse and visualise data.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Understanding of donor reporting requirements and quality benchmarks.
