Engineering Manager - ERP

About the role

Foodics is building its own ERP platform that sits beneath its restaurant‑management suite. As an Engineering Manager you will initially code alongside a small team to create the core system and its integrations, then later grow and lead the engineering organization that will own the product.

Key responsibilities

• Write production‑grade code for core ERP modules, transactional foundations and regulatory compliance layers.
• Make architectural decisions that will determine the platform’s long‑term viability.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, including code review, testing discipline and appropriate use of AI tooling.
• Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to translate business requirements into functional features.
• Lead hiring efforts, define roles, run interview loops and make final hiring decisions.
• Mentor existing engineers to take ownership of components and introduce processes when needed.
• Guide the product through its transition into a core business line while keeping the team intact.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with hands‑on coding and prior leadership (EM, tech lead or founding engineer).
• Direct experience building ERP, accounting or double‑entry ledger systems.
• Strong full‑stack background, comfortable from database schema to UI.
• Proven ability to build a product from scratch in a small, fast‑moving team.
• Willingness to both code now and later build and scale the engineering team.
• Ability to work primarily within GMT+3 time zones.
