English Teacher (IB)

About the role

Amman Academy, an IB World School in Jordan, is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join its bilingual Pre‑Kindergarten to Grade 12 community. The successful candidate will deliver English instruction across the IB curriculum, fostering academic excellence and personal growth in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English lessons in line with the International Baccalaureate framework.
• Prepare students for written and subject‑specific assessments, including mock exams and IB examinations.
• Conduct demo classes and participate in faculty interviews as part of the recruitment process.
• Uphold Amman Academy’s core values of creativity, integrity, well‑being, collaboration, respect, discipline and educational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English literature or a related field.
• 2–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the IB system.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

Required skills

• Strong command of English language and literature.
• Familiarity with IB curriculum design and assessment practices.
