English Trainer

About the role

The English Trainer will join SDK Training Center in Irbid, Jordan, delivering high‑quality English language instruction to learners of various levels. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on general English, conversation classes, and exam preparation for TOEFL and IELTS.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons for different proficiency levels, including general English, conversation, TOEFL and IELTS preparation.
• Design lesson plans, create teaching materials and assessments.
• Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom activities using diverse teaching methods and educational technologies.
• Participate in curriculum development and coordinate with fellow trainers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics or a related discipline.
• Relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TESOL, TEFL, CELTA) are an advantage.
• Strong verbal communication, clear pronunciation and ability to create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Experience teaching English in a training centre, school or similar institution.
• Experience preparing learners for TOEFL or IELTS is highly beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficient writing skills for lesson planning and assessment creation.
• Ability to use digital tools and educational technology to enhance teaching.
