Experienced Associate/Senior – Audit & Assurance – Financial Instruments

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate or Senior to join its Audit & Assurance practice focusing on financial instruments. You will work closely with clients’ treasury functions, providing specialist audit and accounting support throughout the audit lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist financial‑instrument input into external audit engagements.
• Advise on complex treasury transactions and hedge accounting.
• Develop practical solutions for derivative valuations and IFRS 9/FRS 102 accounting treatments.
• Support treasurers and CFOs with independent assurance over their control environment.
• Manage end‑to‑end audit delivery for treasury functions, from planning to reporting.
• Address technical accounting and auditing queries that may set industry precedents.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service.
• Drive continuous improvement of treasury audit methodology through innovation.
• Collaborate across service lines and geographies to deliver market‑focused solutions.

Required profile

• Professional experience in audit of treasury or financial‑instrument functions.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 9, FRS 102, hedge accounting and derivative valuation.
• Ability to manage engagements and interact with senior client stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high‑quality client service.
