Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

A full-time, non-management Food and Beverage Supervisor position in Aqaba, Jordan, focused on coordinating the F&B team so that service is optimal and guest needs are met. The role covers opening and closing duties, inventory, guest service, staff supervision and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff works as a team, inspect grooming and attire and correct deficiencies
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness, and complete scheduled inventories and stock requisitions
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline and coaching
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Open Door Policy, and follow company safety and security policies and procedures
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move through narrow or elevated spaces
