Food & Beverage Captain

About the role

The Food & Beverage Captain joins the Sheraton team in Amman to help create memorable dining experiences for guests. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the smooth operation of all food and beverage areas, ensuring service standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and arrange tables, chairs and dining settings according to venue standards.
• Assist kitchen staff with expediting orders and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including regular sanitation of service stations.
• Monitor and verify menu information, ensuring accuracy for guests.
• Follow safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards at all times.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 25 lb (50 lb with assistance).

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required; previous experience in a food‑and‑beverage environment is a plus.
• No supervisory experience needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces for extended periods.

Required skills

• Physical stamina to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 lb.
• Basic reading ability to verify menu details.
