Food Safety & Hygiene Coordinator

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network (more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations) is looking for a Food Safety & Hygiene Coordinator. The role ensures the hotel keeps the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation according to Accor standards, local health regulations and HACCP principles. It monitors food handling, carries out regular inspections and supports all departments in keeping the environment safe and hygienic for staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Accor food safety standards, HACCP requirements and local health regulations.
• Carry out regular hygiene and sanitation inspections in kitchens, food preparation areas, storage facilities, restaurants and staff cafeterias.
• Monitor food receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, cooling, reheating and serving, and record food and refrigeration/freezer temperatures and critical control points.
• Check food labeling, date marking, stock rotation and FIFO compliance.
• Monitor personal hygiene, cleaning schedules and the use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Deliver food safety and hygiene training and follow up on compliance.
• Identify risks, report non-conformities, track corrective actions and maintain food safety records, inspection reports and HACCP documentation.
• Coordinate pest control, monitor food waste disposal, support audits and health inspections, and report incidents to management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Public Health, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Previous experience in food safety, hygiene or quality assurance, preferably in a hotel.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations; HACCP certification preferred.
• Good communication, organizational and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail.
