Communication / Reservation Agent

About the role

The Communication/Reservation Agent at Four Seasons Amman promotes the hotel and provides information to prospective guests, turns incoming calls into confirmed bookings and coordinates all details of each reservation. The hotel is a newly renovated Forbes Five-Star property in the Abdoun district of Amman.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone inquiries efficiently and courteously, using guest names where possible and routing calls to the right extension.
• Take telephone, e-mail and fax reservation enquiries and handle all guest interactions with a high level of hospitality, accommodating special requests and resolving complaints.
• Build comprehensive knowledge of the hotel and the company and keep up with seasonal changes and new information.
• Maintain the telephone switchboard, hotel computer systems and high-speed Internet in good working order.
• Handle non-phone reservation duties: process new bookings, update and organize existing reservations, and reply to reservation e-mails.
• Retrieve and distribute mail, process brochure requests, and accept and deliver wake-up calls and messages on time.
• Install and repair telephone or high-speed Internet services in guest rooms or public areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in the same field.
• Customer service experience.
• Work authorization for Jordan (Jordanian ID), as required by local labour law.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal communication in Arabic and English.
• Strong sales skills.
