Front Desk Receptionist (Jordanian Citizens Only)

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist at its ibis Hotel Amman. The role sits at the heart of the guest experience, reporting to the Front Desk Manager, and is open only to Jordanian citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, handle check-ins and check-outs, and settle guest accounts while following service standards
• Record guest requests, complaints or issues immediately and follow up until they are resolved
• Help guests with information about hotel facilities
• Respond to every guest approaching the reception desk
• Promote hotel facilities and drive revenue by up-selling room brands
• Follow departmental and hotel policies, procedures and safety standards

Required profile

• Ability and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, early mornings and overnight hours
• Previous front desk or customer service experience is an asset
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); a second language is an asset
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational and administrative skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, reliability and ability to stay calm and courteous under pressure

Required skills

• Property management system (PMS) experience is an asset
