Hygiene & HACCP Coordinator

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels, 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a Hygiene & HACCP Coordinator in Wadi Musa. The role covers food safety, kitchen hygiene and staff conduct, and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Control the production, preparation and presentation of all items to ensure the highest quality at all times.
• Carry out daily inspections of items and make sure the mise en place is set properly and everything is in good condition.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in hygiene and report them.
• Ensure the highest level of personal hygiene and that kitchen staff wear their uniforms correctly and cleanly.
• Follow up sanitation issues in the kitchen and inspect the maintenance of equipment and utensils, reporting problems to the Executive Chef.
• Deliver on-the-job training on hygiene and safety, check outlets with special attention to beverage service and carry out other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Control the movement of unauthorized personnel in the kitchen and maintain a climate of trust and team spirit.
• Look after staff welfare and social activities, and ensure staff wear proper uniforms with nametags and correct grooming.
• Maintain awareness of company policies on health, hygiene and fire life safety, and familiarise staff with the Employee Handbook and Fire & Emergency Manual.
• Handle guest complaints promptly, take corrective action to prevent recurrence and pass guest suggestions to the Executive Chef.
• Log, investigate and rectify security incidents, accidents and near misses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2 years of experience in the same field.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral English.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Team player, self-motivated and energetic.
• Jordanian nationality.
