General Support Specialist

About the role

The General Support Specialist (Runner) ensures guests and associates receive the items and assistance they need at the right moment. Working across all hotel departments, you will help create memorable experiences for guests by delivering items promptly and supporting operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver items directly to guest rooms and public areas.
• Provide timely support to housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, front office and other departments.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 55 lb without assistance.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps and confined spaces safely.
• Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Maintain a safe work environment, follow company policies, and uphold confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Physical ability to stand, walk and lift up to 55 lb for extended periods.
• Capability to read small print and visually inspect tools or equipment.
• Ability to work in narrow, elevated or confined spaces.
