Head of Community & Growth (Film Platform)

About the role

Filmaty is the leading digital hub for independent filmmakers across the MENA region. As Head of Community & Growth, you will transform a passive user base of over 6,000 creators into an active, self‑sustaining ecosystem, driving daily engagement and scaling the platform’s talent discovery engine.

Key responsibilities

• Own platform engagement metrics (WAU/MAU) and design gamification loops, verification systems, and status incentives to boost activation and retention.
• Conceptualize and execute social‑first campaigns (TikTok, Instagram Reels challenges, monologue contests) that attract talent and creators.
• Manage content scouts to ensure a steady flow of casting calls, crew gigs, and gear listings, solving the “cold start” problem.
• Facilitate high‑value matches between directors, producers, and talent until organic discovery takes over.
• Organize virtual workshops and regional meet‑ups around key film festivals to deepen community trust and convert offline interactions into online activity.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in community management, product marketing, or growth for a B2C mobile app, creator platform, or two‑sided marketplace.
• Data‑informed mindset with a genuine passion for cinema and the regional creative scene.
• Background in media, film, entertainment, or digital content platforms is a strong plus.
