ICT / ELV / Security Designer – Data Center Projects

About the role

The ICT / ELV / Security Designer will act as the technical reviewer for all ICT, extra‑low voltage and security system designs related to data‑center facilities. Reporting to the PMO, the specialist ensures that design deliverables are technically sound, standards‑compliant and aligned with the project brief.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess design submissions for ICT, ELV, fire alarm, BMS and security across concept, schematic, detailed, IFC and shop‑drawing stages.
• Validate structured cabling packages, including horizontal and backbone layouts, patch panel schedules and cable containment drawings.
• Evaluate active network infrastructure designs, confirming core/distribution/access switching topology meets redundancy and performance requirements.
• Inspect CCTV system designs, covering camera placement, field‑of‑view analysis, recording/storage architecture and NVR/VMS specifications.
• Assess access control designs, door schedules, controller topology and integration with building management systems.
• Verify coordination with civil, structural and MEP packages, checking containment routing, equipment rooms, power, earthing and EMI separation.
• Track review comments, monitor contractor responses, and maintain a register of open and closed technical issues.
• Participate in design review meetings, coordination workshops and BIM sessions as the PMO’s technical representative.
• Support construction phase by reviewing shop drawings, equipment submittals and commissioning test procedures, raising non‑conformance records as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, ICT or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in ICT, ELV and security system design for data‑center or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to interpret standards and specifications and to produce clear, actionable review comments.
