Information Technology Infrastructure Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Information Technology Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, procurement and implementation of the core IT infrastructure for a new university hospital and medical school. The role will shape a green‑field environment, ensuring networks, servers, storage and security solutions are aligned with strategic objectives and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the complete IT infrastructure portfolio, from planning to procurement and deployment.
• Oversee network, security, server and storage systems to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and enforce technology standards, data strategy, and cybersecurity policies.
• Monitor and manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring timelines, budgets and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with business units to create innovative digital solutions and analytics capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment, establish vendor partnerships, and manage IT procurement processes.
• Implement business continuity measures, including disaster recovery, failover strategies and service level agreements.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies to provide competitive advantage for the university.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and delivering IT infrastructure in a green‑field or large‑scale environment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare IT standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in project portfolio management and risk assessment.
