Intensive Care Nurse

About the role

Alsaudi Hospital in Amman, Jordan is hiring a full-time, on-site Intensive Care Nurse. The nurse provides continuous, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, administer medications and manage life-support equipment
• Respond to emergencies and implement care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
• Support patients and families through clear communication, education and emotional guidance
• Take part in ongoing clinical improvement activities

Required profile

• Valid nursing license and registration, preferably with 5-8 years of experience in an ICU or high-dependency unit
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent; critical care certifications such as ACLS and PALS are highly beneficial
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong communication, teamwork and cultural sensitivity

Required skills

• Critical care nursing: ventilated, hemodynamically unstable and post-operative patients
• Emergency nursing and medicine knowledge of complex conditions and ICU protocols
• Patient assessment, care planning and bedside care
• Proficiency in electronic medical records
