IRIS System Engineer

About the role

The IRIS System Engineer designs, implements, maintains and supports the IRIS infrastructure and applications, focusing on system integration, configuration and continuous improvement of IRIS modules. The engineer works with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business needs, troubleshoot issues and help end users use the platform effectively. The position is full time and based in Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient data exchange across partner APIs
• Ingest healthcare data from source systems into FHIR resources and profiles via ETL processes
• Design and build scalable data integration and interoperability solutions using IRIS for Health, Ensemble, Cache and ObjectScript
• Create tables, classes, program logic, backend API code and job routines for client solutions
• Maintain healthcare interfaces using HL7v2, HL7v3, FHIR, CDA and X12, and map non-FHIR data to FHIR
• Design FHIR data models, implement SNOMED, ICD and LOINC mappings and privacy filters
• Develop REST/SOAP web services and configure ISC API Manager
• Implement security measures, access controls and HIPAA compliance
• Maintain documentation of FHIR implementations, transformations and data flows, and use Git, Atlassian and scripting for deployment

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• Professional certifications in systems engineering, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) or ERP systems are a plus
• Experience in system integration, data migration and application configuration
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability and knowledge of healthcare regulations
