IT Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team in Amman. The role focuses on protecting the organization’s systems, networks, applications and data by managing and enhancing the security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure, including Azure, Entra ID, Intune and endpoint solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on Windows servers and endpoints and coordinate remediation.
• Administer Splunk SIEM – log collection, dashboards, correlation searches and incident investigations.
• Operate security solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Trend Micro Vision One, XDR and NDR platforms.
• Perform threat hunting, monitor alerts and lead incident response across cloud, network and endpoint environments.
• Collaborate with NOC, Infrastructure and IT Operations to resolve security and operational incidents.
• Implement security hardening standards and compliance controls aligned with Central Bank of Jordan requirements.
• Secure Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policies, privileged access and identity controls.
• Support network security technologies – firewalls, VPNs, NPS and 802.1X authentication.
• Coordinate Windows Server and endpoint patching, OS deployments and compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT security, cybersecurity or security operations.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
