Journeyman Computer Systems Analyst (Jordan)

About the role

GovCIO is seeking a Journeyman Computer Systems Analyst to support Special Operations communications in Jordan. The role involves translating high‑level product strategies into detailed network and system specifications and ensuring they meet rigorous verification standards.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze product capabilities, compare with competing solutions, and stay current on hardware/software developments.
• Generate quantifiable requirements from customer descriptions and system designs, and verify compliance through formal methods.
• Develop network and system requirement specifications, design interfaces, and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures.
• Assess performance using technical metrics and provide customer liaison for business development.
• Design, implement, and support QoS for voice/video/data networks; troubleshoot using performance‑management tools.
• Create conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, including documentation, test plans, and risk assessments.
• Provide operational support for WAN/LAN technologies, plan network layouts, and analyze topologies, traffic, and capacity.
• Collaborate with DoD customers to fill information gaps and communicate technical solutions.
• Support hardware/software acquisition and develop detailed logical designs for Gigabit Ethernet, EIGRP, BGPv4, QoS, DMVPN, IPv4, and multicast architectures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 5‑8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Proven senior‑level experience with Cisco routing and switching, LAN/WAN, network management, and security.
