About the role
The Junior Accountant will support the financial operations of Jahangir’s restaurant and café portfolio in Amman, handling daily bookkeeping and assisting with month‑end and year‑end processes.
Key responsibilities
- Record transactions, maintain ledgers and reconcile cash, bank and supplier accounts.
- Prepare invoices, process payments and track expenses.
- Assist with inventory costing, revenue reporting and financial documentation for internal reviews and external auditors.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
Required profile
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency in basic financial reporting, invoicing and expense tracking, preferably in hospitality.
- Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets (Excel).
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
