Kitchen & Laundry Technician – Maintenance

About the role

The Opal Hotel in Amman is looking for a skilled Kitchen & Laundry Technician to join its Engineering & Maintenance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, minimizing downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen appliances such as ovens, dishwashers, cooking equipment, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintain and repair laundry machines, dryers, ironing equipment, and related systems.
• Diagnose equipment faults, carry out timely repairs, and document all actions.
• Conduct regular inspections and report potential failures.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for specialized technical support when needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow the hotel’s preventive maintenance schedule.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel procedures.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and operational emergencies.
• Assist the Engineering team with general maintenance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience maintaining hotel, commercial kitchen, or laundry equipment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Hotel experience is highly preferred.
