Linux System Administrator

About the role

Acuative is seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join its global IT services team. You will be responsible for provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining both Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems, including installation, updates, and patch management.
• Monitor server health, performance, and security; perform backups, restores, and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Implement security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with standards such as SOC2, PCI‑DSS, and GDPR.
• Administer Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to optimize infrastructure resilience.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline deployments and routine tasks.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and support hybrid cloud environments on AWS and Azure.
• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot incidents, and document configurations and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional IT teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
