Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding guests, employees and assets across the property. This full‑time, on‑site position requires vigilant monitoring, rapid response to incidents, and thorough documentation of all security‑related events.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and resolve safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate EMS when needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, defuse disturbances and escort unwelcome persons.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and loss‑prevention activity logs.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security reports and proprietary information.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to read small‑print documents.
• Willingness to follow company policies, complete safety training and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly, run or jog when situations demand.
