Make & Pack Mechanical Specialist

About the role

The M&P Mechanical Specialist supports reliable and efficient production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting and improving assigned Make & Pack machinery. The role calls for strong mechanical expertise, hands-on problem-solving and a proactive approach to equipment reliability, maintenance execution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot assigned Make & Pack machinery to ensure optimal performance, availability and achievement of production, quality and waste targets.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns promptly, find root causes, implement solutions and document breakdown details.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance, including planned stops, deep cleaning and equipment inspections.
• Support breakdown, quality complaint and QUIP analysis and contribute to actions that eliminate recurring equipment losses.
• Take ownership of assigned equipment stations in Autonomous Maintenance, keeping basic conditions and meeting performance requirements.
• Apply IWS tools and standards to reduce losses and improve machine reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, energy and operational standards, including 5S3R and factory procedures.
• Collaborate with operators and technicians, share technical knowledge and support capability development.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the tobacco industry preferred, or 8 years of mechanical maintenance experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and spare-parts catalogues.
• Good command of English and willingness to work in a production environment.
