Material Planning Engineer

About the role

Sayegh Group is hiring a Material Planning Engineer in Amman, Jordan. The role plans raw material supplies, determines finished goods requirements and turns customer orders into production orders, working with the Production and Procurement departments and based on sales plans. Its aim is to optimise resource use, minimise downtime and excess inventory costs and keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate raw material and production supply requirements.
• Convert customer orders into production orders and set manufacturing priorities by delivery schedule.
• Monitor material production plans, ensure finished materials are ready and delivered to warehouses on time.
• Prepare periodic reports on material readiness and the match between production plans and sales forecasts.
• Analyse actual material consumption against plans and sales needs, and review and audit Bills of Materials and production formulas.
• Issue purchase requisitions for raw and packaging materials and follow up open purchase orders with Procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels (Min/Max, reorder points) and update MRP schedules when sales or production plans change.
• Track production order execution, analyse consumption, runtime and downtime, and adjust plans for shortages or demand shifts.
• Prepare and track KPIs such as material availability, shortage downtime, inventory turnover, planning accuracy and stockouts.
• Coordinate continuously with Sales, Production, Procurement, Warehousing, Quality and Logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• At least 3 years of material planning experience in the industrial sector.
• Preferred: experience in aerosol, chemical, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Hands-on MRP system experience.
• Advanced Google Sheets (G-Sheet).
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Sage X3.
• Power BI knowledge preferred.
