Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Omrania, part of the Egis Group, is an international architectural and engineering consultancy based in Riyadh, working with governments, cultural institutions, private developers and other organisations on sustainable, contextual buildings and infrastructure. It is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Amman, Jordan, where the engineer applies technical expertise to solve complex problems and drive innovation in engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement mechanical methodologies in engineering projects
• Analyse and optimise engineering processes using mechanical principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve product designs
• Carry out detailed technical analyses and prepare comprehensive reports
• Take part in project planning and execution, keeping to timelines and quality standards
• Troubleshoot engineering issues and propose effective solutions
• Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the engineering department

Required profile

• BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 0-2 years of engineering experience, preferably with exposure to PHFP methodologies
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several projects at once
• Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Basic understanding of project management principles
