Network Administrator II

About the role

V2X is seeking a Network Administrator II to lead a team in maintaining and evolving LAN/WAN and wireless networks for military and civilian customers. The role involves supervising subordinate network administrators, overseeing network security, and ensuring optimal network performance across global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist subordinate Network Administrators and NOC sites.
• Monitor and maintain availability and reliability of LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
• Oversee maintenance of VoIP phones, switches, wired and wireless routers, and encryption devices (HAIPE).
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and VLANs.
• Report outages and corrective actions to the NOC service desk and Watch Officer.
• Perform network security checks, enforce DISA STIG compliance, and manage ACL configurations.
• Conduct disaster recovery operations and data backups as required.
• Plan network development and expansion, including sub‑netting and Cisco IOS configuration.
• Use Spectrum and other software tools to manage and administer the network.

Required profile

• Experience leading network teams and supervising junior administrators.
• Ability to obtain and maintain host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of military and civilian IT environments.
