About the role
The Night Manager, also known as the Moonlight Manager, leads all property operations during the overnight shift, ensuring guests receive the highest level of hospitality. This role acts as the on‑duty property manager, handling guest concerns, safety, and operational compliance throughout the night.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor overnight property operations, enforce uniform and grooming standards, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee period‑end inventories and ensure accurate cash handling, minimizing overages/shortages.
- Review financial statements, sales reports, and activity data to support profitability and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Resolve guest issues directly or via Guest Relations and coordinate with accounts receivable to keep invoices current.
- Manage employee attendance, performance issues, and payroll processing in collaboration with the operations manager.
- Promote safety programs, teamwork, and employee morale through incentives and events.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of guest‑services experience, or a 2‑year degree in Hospitality/Business with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest relations, and property management procedures.
- Ability to work independently during night hours and make decisive decisions.
