Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Officer

About the role

MS Pharma is seeking an Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Officer to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for its employees. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, prepare reports, and advise on personal protective equipment and hazard mitigation.
• Develop, test, and execute emergency response plans, acting as a member of the emergency team for fires, chemical spills, injuries, and other incidents.
• Deliver safety training to employees on regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain firefighting equipment, perform fire prevention inspections, and coordinate fire protection plans with local authorities.
• Investigate workplace accidents and unsafe conditions, recommending corrective actions such as training improvements or equipment modifications.
• Develop and enforce environmental protection policies, monitor environmental quality, handle pollution complaints, and ensure compliance with waste disposal and pollution control legislation.
• Report safety and environmental irregularities, including fire hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field relevant to occupational health, safety, or environmental studies).
