Operations and Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Sunray Solutions is seeking a full‑time Operations and Maintenance Engineer to be based on‑site in Amman, Jordan. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of photovoltaic (PV) and related electromechanical systems across the company’s renewable‑energy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, inspection and maintenance of PV and electromechanical installations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and troubleshoot electrical, control and mechanical issues.
• Coordinate service activities with internal teams, vendors and external partners.
• Monitor system performance, analyse operational data and propose improvements to minimise downtime and maximise energy output.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports, maintain accurate documentation and support commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, local regulations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Strong technical foundation in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience).
• Practical experience with PV systems or similar electromechanical installations.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical, control and mechanical components.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning, work‑order tracking and documentation.
• Familiarity with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures and high‑voltage work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams and technical manuals.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple field‑based tasks.
• Previous experience in solar PV, renewable energy or industrial electromechanical systems is highly desirable.
