Operations Excellence Specialist
High Ground · Amman
Job description
About the role
High Ground is looking for an Operations Excellence Specialist to strengthen operational standards, consistency and performance across its BARE and Four Winters branches. Working alongside the Operations Manager, you will own the operational improvement process: from spotting gaps and building practical plans, through tracking implementation, to verifying results and sustaining improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Visit branches regularly and carry out structured operational reviews covering preparation, service, cleanliness, food handling, stock control, equipment care and opening/closing procedures.
- Check that approved recipes, portion sizes, product presentation and service standards are followed consistently.
- Identify bottlenecks, inconsistencies and avoidable waste, investigate recurring issues and develop practical solutions.
- Own improvement plans, prioritising actions by their impact on product quality, guest experience, efficiency and cost, and agree owners, deadlines, resources and measurable outcomes with the Operations Manager.
- Keep the implementation tracker accurate and visible, follow up on actions and deadlines, and propose recovery plans where needed.
- Resolve implementation barriers early and coordinate workflow changes with the Operations Manager.
- Verify improvements through branch revisits, supporting evidence and performance checks, and reopen actions when gaps recur.
- Develop and refine SOPs, checklists and assessment tools; identify training needs and verify that training improves performance.
- Review operational indicators and guest feedback, maintain progress reports, and share effective practices across branches.
Required profile
- At least one year of F&B operations experience across multiple branches.
- Proven ability to own improvement plans, track implementation and verify results.
- Strong planning, follow-up and problem-solving skills, and clear communication with operations and branch teams.
- Availability for regular branch visits across different shifts.
- Arabic and English communication skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of kitchen and service operations, food safety, stock and waste control.
- Preferred: experience across multiple F&B brands, background in operational audits, quality assurance or training, HACCP training, familiarity with Foodics and inventory systems, and experience supporting new branch openings.
