Personal Property Processing & Shipping Specialist

About the role

The Personal Property Processing & Shipping Specialist supports the shipment, storage and processing of personal property for military personnel in Jordan. Working within CALIBRE’s Area Support Group – Jordan, the role ensures compliance with Department of Defense transportation regulations while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process and coordinate the shipment and storage of personal property.
• Prepare and validate required documentation such as DD‑1299 and DD‑1840R.
• Utilize transportation systems including DPS and GATES.
• Provide counseling to customers on shipment and storage procedures using DTR Part IV or JTR guidance.
• Coordinate with transportation offices and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with DTR, JTR and other applicable regulations.
• Track shipments, resolve discrepancies or claims, and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• At least one year of recent experience in a transportation or personal‑property office.
• Experience counseling customers on DTR or JTR regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Preferred experience in military or government logistics environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DPS transportation system.
• Proficiency with GATES transportation system.
