Principal / Senior Technical Architect

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for an experienced Principal / Senior Technical Architect to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of high‑profile projects in Amman, Jordan. You will ensure design excellence, compliance with regulations, and successful delivery from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of architectural projects.
• Provide technical oversight, design coordination, and quality assurance throughout all project stages.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Support project teams in resolving complex technical and design challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff.
• Contribute to client engagement and project management activities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Extensive experience in architectural design and technical delivery of large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working on projects within the Middle East region is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with BIM workflows.
