Private Sector Engagement for Women's Economic Empowerment Consultant

About the role
UN Women is seeking a National Consultant to lead private‑sector engagement for its Surging Women’s Employment Flagship Initiative (SWEI) in Jordan. The consultant will work to increase decent employment opportunities for women by fostering gender‑responsive workplaces and strategic partnerships with the private sector.
Key responsibilities
- Implement the private‑sector pillar of the Jordan Chapter of SWEI, aligning activities with the 5% women’s employment target for 2030.
- Roll out Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) components, focusing on workplace equality, gender‑responsive procurement, and transparent monitoring.
- Develop and manage roadmaps, annual workplans, implementation plans, and monitoring frameworks.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with private‑sector companies, WEPs signatories, service providers, and government entities.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities, ensuring timely and quality delivery of partnership initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in private‑sector partnership development and gender‑focused economic programs.
- Familiarity with the Women’s Empowerment Principles and gender‑responsive procurement practices.
- Ability to design and monitor implementation plans and frameworks.
- Strong coordination skills with diverse stakeholders in the MENA region.
